Biofuels
One of the options for limiting greenhouse gases is to use biofuels. Biofuels are obtained from organic matter and produce up to 50% less CO2 when burned. Argos Oil has taken the lead in the Netherlands in the production and distribution of biofuels.
E85
Argos Oil was the first oil company to market the biofuel E85 in the Netherlands. E85 is made up of 85% bio-ethanol and 15% regular petrol. E85 is even used in race cars because it is more powerful than normal petrol. Automobiles do require modification to be able to run on this biofuel.
Euro95/E5
Argos Euro95/E5 is a blend of 95% Euro unleaded petrol with 5% bio-ethanol produced from vegetable feedstock, like sugar beets and corn. This blend lowers your car’s CO2 emissions and increases engine performance. Argos Euro 95/E5 is suitable for any kind of car that runs on Euro 95; the engine does not have to be modified.
Argos Diesel/B5
Argos Diesel/B5 is a combination of normal diesel and 5% biodiesel. With this biofuel you can drive a bit more sustainably than with regular diesel. And it improves your engine’s lubrication. Most engines can run on biodiesel without any modification, though minor
adjustments are needed for long-term use.
